Commission Overview
The Planning and Zoning Commission is appointed by the Town Mayor and approved by the Council. This committee meets regularly to look over all building permit requests and zoning change requests to make recommendations to the Town Council for approval. The commission works closely with the Town Planning and Zoning Department to ensure all code and ordinance requirements are met.
The Planning & Zoning Commission establishes policy, enforces ordinances, voices the concerns, suggestions and opinions of constituents as well as monitor the usefulness and effectiveness of such ordinances and policies.
The Planning & Zoning Commission meets every 3rd Thursday of the month at 10:00am at the meeting room at the Red River Conference Center.
